Imagine if he decided to be difficult about this, too. It would be so easy to default back to his usual brand of stubborn pettiness, but for once in his stupidly long life, he listens. He raises his exhausted gaze back up to meet Eustace's own, a faint light returning to his eyes now that the worst of the storm has been weathered.
